Brayden walking

On March 3rd, just barely over 10 1/2 months old, Brayden took his first steps. Yeah Brayden! This is a video of him walking after he's had a little bit of practice. :) I recorded it funny so it is sideways. (sorry)

Evan turns 3!

It is so hard to get a sincere smile from him

a little better

an outside ball, a book and curious george socks that say... "Who, Me?" (all very appropriate)

Evan turned 3 on March 17th. We had a little thing with just us at home. He had banana flavored cake. And we went out to Culver's for lunch. (his choice) I can't believe he is already three. Not my baby anymore by some standards, but will always be by mine. :) At his three year check up he was 38 1/2 inches (74%) and 36.4# (88%) I hope to post his 3 year picture soon.

Death in the family

(This was soon after the accident but before he died. Douglas' last picture with him.)

Sadly we had a death in the family. Douglas' hamster, Nibble died. It was an unfortunate accident. Douglas was quite upset the night it happened. He has since then gotten over it and is able to talk about him without tears. It was a sad thing, especially as we did not have him long.

Tinkertoys

The boys received a set of tinkertoys from my dad. They have had so much fun playing with them and seeing what they can build. You gotta love distractions.

Valentines Day

On Valentines Day James came home with a 1/2 dozen red roses and nice rib eye steaks. I made the boys supper and then James and I prepared ours together. We sent the boys downstairs to watch a movie and we enjoyed a nice candlelit dinner. It was nice.
