Our deck project

Earlier this fall we decided to get our deck done. There were no sides on it and the stairs we poor, one was broken and they were not safely spaced (there were two stairs going down when there should have been three) So we decided we were going to put sides on and a decent set of stairs. We are happy with the finished project.

Fall family fun

Okay so last week we started to make plans to go to the Amaze in' farm on Saturday but listening to the weather on the news during the week, it didn't sound like that was going to happen...too cold. So I decided to plan fun fall activities that we could do as a family at home. I planned pumpkin carving, roasting the seeds, making caramel apples, decorating the window (the only halloween decorations we have) and making a scarecrow using leaves for stuffing. We were able to do all of it except for the scarecrow, Crazy enough we woke up to a snow covered lawn that morning. WAY too early in the season for snow!!! I felt like we should be putting up the christmas tree not halloween decorations. So needless to say the leaves we were going to use for stuffing were snow covered and wet. But our day ended up being very full with the other activities planned. We had a fun day! The kids enjoyed it all.
