Time for some changes to be made.

I think some things need to change. I am in a Wednesday morning Women's bible study. This past Wednesday the speaker was telling a story about her family. Her son wanted to come home from college for the weekend because he knew the rest of the family was gone and his mom was home by herself and he wanted to keep her company...I know how sweet, right? She said she then started thinking of stuff to do with him. Do this...because he would like that....eat there because that is his favorite and he'd order this and this. And it struck me, do I know my kids well enough, do I show them enough how much those big and little things in their lives matter to me? Lately it feels like they are slipping away. Things they are told to do go undone, attitude issues and such. I desire to have great relationships with my boys, for them to trust me, for them to want my trust, for them to be able to come to me with whatever is on there minds and hearts. I love my boys and things have to change. Steps need to be taken. Love shone, trust built. There needs to be more. More attention given, more time spent together. Now working on making that happen.

Sledding Fun

When we got all that snow over Christmas break, James made a sledding hill at the end of our driveway. Now the boys can go out whenever they want and they sled down and across the driveway. I went out with them this day so Brayden could go out. It was nice that it had finally gotten warm enough to do so.

Waterpark fun!

The weekend of Jan 8-10th we celebrated Christmas with my dad, step-mom, sisters, niece, nephew, step-brother and his family and step-sister at the Holiday Inn waterpark in Baxter. It was a wonderful time with family and the kids loved playing in the water. I think us adults had just as much fun though. All of my waterpark pictures are on an underwater camera that I have yet to develop.
