Mini vacation

James took a few days off last week, so for Wednesday and Thursday we worked on getting some things done around home and decided to take off Friday and take a mini vacation. We picked Douglas up from school and headed off the cities. We got a hotel room and went to the Mall of America for supper, tried some cold stone creamery ice cream.. YUM! We went back to the hotel and went swimming. The next morning we went back to the mall and enjoyed the Underwater Adventures. The boys really liked that, seeing fish swimming above them. They pretended that they were actually under the water. Then we went to the park at MOA where the boys went on one ride. By that time it was getting to be lunch time, so we left the mall and went a hop, skip and jump over to IKEA, where we had never been. We had lunch there then walked around and pretty much got lost. After a while Evan had a missing my nap meltdown. He fell asleep on my arm while I was pushing the cart. Needless to say my back got sore after awhile of bending over, so we decided it was time to leave. So we left and headed for home. We were all pretty exhausted by the end but it was nice to have a little getaway.
